  • My Story

    Teal Underline

In 2021, Tracey received the MA Democratic Party’s Eleanor Roosevelt Award. Listen to Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley and other MA leaders speak about Tracey’s impact.

My story began in upstate New York. It is where I grew up, went to school, and found an interest in civic engagement and politics. It is where my family showed me what it meant to give back to others and support a community. You can read more about how my organizing career began here.

In 2019 I started TL Strategies, LLC, a woman and black owned consulting and project management firm. I am a national organizer with a background in grassroots campaigns, issue advocacy and electoral politics. I have organized in seventeen states across the country. During the 2020 presidential campaign, I returned to Georgia to lead my third statewide election in the state as the state director for the Biden Harris presidential campaign and its historic Georgia victory. Previously I served as Senator Elizabeth Warren’s deputy campaign manager during her first U.S. Senate campaign and have served as a longtime advisor to Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley.

I have also led civic engagement programs, managed community-based coalitions and coordinated large-scale projects and special events for non-profit organizations. I started organizing as a campaign volunteer in Boston, Massachusetts and would eventually become the first Black woman to manage a Democratic Coordinated Campaign in the Commonwealth. In 2021, I was honored to receive the MA Democratic Party’s Eleanor Roosevelt Award and am proud to be a member of the board of directors for Partners In Health, a global health and social justice organization.
